Torres and his teammates remained undefeated going 2-0 for the week. Ricky posted double-doubles in both games with 16 points and 10 assists against Arkansas Baptist College, a 93-77 win; and 16 points and 11 assists in their 109-87 victory over Nationwide Academy Prep (OK). Ricky also contributed 4 steals and 4 rebounds.

Alonzo led the team in scoring last week with 113 points. All coming in a 28 hour period, winning the Championship at the 2-day William R. Bear Tournament at Highland CC (IL). He had 28 in a Friday night win vs. Iowa Central, with 16 helpers and 5 boards; Saturday afternoon against Marshalltown (a 87-75 victory) Zo had 34 pts, 9 rebs, 7 assists and 4 steals; then Saturday night finished with a 51 point, 4 reb, 4 assist performance vs. the host Highland CC in a 93-90 OT win. The 51 point outburst set a new Greyhound single game scoring record, besting the previous high mark of 47 set in 1994.

Ricky continues to be a mainstay for the Grizzlies as they split two home games last week, falling to #3 ranked Indian Hills CC 98-96, a game West Plains led for about 35 minutes, then rebounded with a 93-79 take down of Mineral Area College. Ricky managed to pour in 21 well earned points against Indian Hills despite their attempt to deny him the ball all game long. Against Mineral Area, Torres found the bottom of the nets for 28 points on 9-15 shooting (60.0%), including 8-12 (66.7%) from outside the arc. Torres is now 2 assists shy of the career record at MSU-WP, and 26 short of the single season mark. Ricky also earned Player of the Week honors in week 4.

Radshad Davis of Missouri State-West Plains

Rashad was rentless in two Grizzly wins, constantly providing the big plays, whether a basket, a stop, a FT or a rebound, Davis came to the team's rescue. In Little Rock, AR vs. Arkansas Baptist, Radshad recorded his first double/double of the week in the 84-72 win. Davis had 17 pts on 8-13 shooting and 13 rebounds in 30 minutes of floor time. At home against rival Three Rivers, he was huge in the thrilling 102-98 victory with another double/double (33 pts, 10 rebs, 6 assist) in 34 minutes.

Coming off the bench, Alonzo was a key contributor in both Greyhound victories last week. In their 102-89 road win at Penn Valley, Zo put in 30 minutes of game time in route to a 19 points, 4 assist outting. He hit on 7 of 12 FG's (52.9%), 1 of 2 from distance, and 4 out of 6 at the FT line. In their MCCAC Championship clincher at home against State Fair, the Hounds outran the Roadrunners 112-108 behind Verge's 34 points, 8 assists, 2 steals and a block, a game in which Moberly trailed by 20 points early in the second half. This is the second time Alonzo has earned POTW honors, the first time occurred in Week 6 when he was also selected as National Player of the Week. Zo leads the region in scoring average (20.9 ppg) and ranks in the top 10 in six of nine region statistical categories. He's scored double digits in 18 of 22 games, with 20+ in eleven, and 30+ in five. He's also recorded 7+ assist 11 times.
